In 1998, Michelle Planche approached me with a concept for an event. Michelle presented an idea for a fundraising event that wasn’t just another fundraiser. It had a two-fold purpose. It featured the work of new designers who may not otherwise have the opportunity it show-case their work in Toronto and it also raised funds for children living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. This event, the Art of Fashion, raising funds for children in need, is now in its third year. This year, I am pleased to be involved as a sponsor.
